Some days are great, others are not...but no matter what twists and turns I encounter, you can be sure I'm going to write about it!

I think I can.

How tough is it to write a book? I think I might just give it a go.

  1. I've been kicking this one around myself.

  2. As someone who writes for a living? Really tough. But you should go for it if you want to! Absolutely. Just remember there's a reason why so many writers are alcoholics. :)

  3. I wrote a novel in one month during National Novel Writing Month. And it was hard, and I'm not even sure it's any good. Sure it has a beginning, a middle and an end, but would anyone want to read it? Would any publisher want to take a chance on it? Doubtful.

But, am I glad I tried it? Yes. Would I give it another go? Absolutely. It's like exercise and eating right and saving money - it takes a huge amount of effort, and you have to really stick with it, but if you're prepared for that, go for it!

And to echo Willikat, my fellow writer and friend, I do like the wine... ;)

  4. Thanks for the input ladies!!

    willikat - I don't think I have a problem with alcohol consumption ;)

    A. - I don't think I've got the skills to polish off a novel. More of a memoir which I may or may not decide to embellish :)

  5. Are you serious! That's so cool. I like to write, but I've never thought I had the vision or tenacity to write a whole book.

I want to write my brother's story. Or my mom's story. Or maybe just the story of my whole damn family. But my confidence is lacking.

I wish you luck and hope you do it!
