Some days are great, others are not...but no matter what twists and turns I encounter, you can be sure I'm going to write about it!

Snow Bird.

I've been at a loss for words lately....and I can't seem to figure out why.

Life is as good as it's going to get.

Little man never fails to crack me up and boil my blood in the same breath of air.

The holidays are here and I couldn't me more excited or more terrified.

Oh!

Here's something that's kinda-sorta new. I want to go somewhere where the sun is shining over the winter!! Any inexpensive travel suggestions?

My budget is virtually non-existent, and where ever I end up has to be toddler-friendly, as little man will be tagging along on this adventure.

Flight and Hotel Ideal Budget: $600 total (for airfare and hotel for BOTH myself and little man)

Entertainment/Food: $200-ish (?) ...I don't know if that's too much or too little for entertainment/food...Honestly peeps, I haven't traveled ANYWHERE for leisure since BEFORE I WAS PREGGO. In a nutshell, that means I haven't gone ANYWHERE for over four years.

I'm tracking a couple of different flights around the middle of February. If the price of the airfare drops below 200 per ticket I will GLADLY book...but I think I'm hoping and praying for a miracle.

I'd totally be down for taking a cruise too...but I need to stay within the US, as filling out the paper work to get a passport for both myself AND little man seems a bit annoying to me at the moment.

What do y'all think?

Do you have any travel plans lined up for this coming winter?

If so...are you willing to let myself and a toddler sneak into your suitcase?? hehehe.

Stuck in my head...

Advertising and marketing are something that effects Americans daily....and something I absolutely love. Some days, I wish I were in the marketing field. I love coming up with jingles and being artistic. Other days, I'm very thankful I'm not in the marketing field...all of that criticism? No thanks.

Point being, there have been some catch jingles/commercial slogans out there that I've found stuck in my head quite a few times. Here are some of my favorites (in no particular order)

1.) McDonald's New fillet-o-fish commercial "Gimme back that fillet-o-fish...Gimme that fish"

2.) Fresh feels better with mento's freshness FULL OF LIFE! Mentos, the freshmaker.

3.) Dirty mouth? Clean it up! (Orbitz gum)

4.) McDonald's : "I'm lovin it!" ~ thanks to Justin Timberlake....so hot, want to touch the hiney...aaaahooooooo

5.) Oh I wish I was an Oscar Meyer weiner...(Honestly, I could go on with this entire song...but I think the first line is enough to have you humming it all.day.long. Sorry!)

6.) Rice-a-roni...the San Fransisco TREAT!

7.) Silly Rabbit! Trix are for kids!

8.) The fresh part of waking up...is Folgers in your cup

9.) Can you hear me now? (Verizon)

10.) I want my baby-back baby-back baby-back baby-back baby-back baby-back baby-back. I want my Chili's, baby-back ribs. Chili's baby-back ribs BAR-B-QUE SAUCE!

What are your favorite slogans/jingles?

Wasted.

There are a few things in life I want to be successful at. Being a good mom, my career, being a solid friend, a responsible person, and reliable...just to name a few. However, this morning, I realized there is something in life I don't want to do.

How do you feel about people in their late 40's reserving an entire day for bar hopping? I feel like I'm being an arse about this, but I find it slightly disturbing. No, I don't think an almost 50-something should stop living their life, but I don't think an almost 50-something should be spending a large amount of their weekend getting wasted.

Those of you who know me in real life know that I like to be the first one to a party and the last one to leave (most of the time at least...). Yes, I'm down for a good time and I highly enjoy socializing with friends. I just don't see this behavior as being an acceptable role model for your kids or your grandkids. Setting aside an entire day or night so you can go out to the bars is something a 20-something does...

Am I the only one on this bandwagon?

Are your parents setting aside weeknights or weekend days to pub crawl, making it a point to stop at every bar along highway 12?

I almost hoping nobody is dealing with my perplexing issue...but at the same time I kind of hope someone is, so I don't feel completely alone or isolated on this topic!
